“Gospel Truth”
What is “The Gospel”?
- Someone might use the phrase “It’s the Gospel truth” when they want to emphasize their point.
- Or….the word “Gospel” is used to describe a book in the Bible.
- Or…the word “Gospel” is often used to describe a type of music….
- We might talk about how we “shared the Gospel” with someone.
- We read in Scripture about how someone “proclaimed the Gospel”
- Or some might call a church “Gospel-preaching”.
— that phrase appears in today’s Scripture text.
But…what does that MEAN?
What do we MEAN by “the Gospel”?
The word gets used to mean a lot of things…it can be sometimes a bit confusing.
